Here's a photo from a breeders website. Is it any wonder why we have our work cut out for us?

Perfect example of false advertising. Thats one of the things that drives me CRAZY about Birdtalk and the ads they allow in the magazine, theyre always showing SEVERAL different species of birds together in photos, interacting like theyre best of friends..and we KNOW thats just NOT reality most of the time and those birds were placed there for the photo only!

Ha, that is rediculous. I'm a Graphic Designer and can tell without even bringing the photo into Photoshop and inspecting it that the photo has been 'composed' by someone. See the fuzzing around the birds and the difference in pixels from the background to the foreground? It's really sick that some breeders are so incredibly money hungry to have to do that. angry

Well... my entire point wasnt whether it was fake or real. This image says to Joe Public:

"Wow!.. What a great pet for my 5 year old daughter.. it must be OK to have these birds near her face".

Maybe the breeder moonlights as a plastic surgeon.

This sounds like the "Lady" who bred my goffin too.... she sold her.....as a gift for a child!!! Oh yes, she took the cash, and then bellyached later about how stupid some buyers are!! I'm indi's 3rd & last home.....she still does not like children....hmmmmm, wonder why? BUT my point here is yes there are uniformed buyers out there, but don't "reputable breeders" as this woman is supposed to be (heard this one from a couple people)have a responsibility to screen potential buyers? I believe we all do as cockatoo ambasadors. ESPECIALLY the "Stuff they DON'T want to hear"!!
