zoe our TAG (DNA'D female) showed sexual behaviors like you describe at around 12 months or so... our vet said that wasn't unusual. That doesn't mean sexual maturity has hit... just like kids they experiment before their bodies are ready. At this stage it's probably not really "sexual" behavior... more sort of a discovery of himself/herself. I know that sounds rather anthropomorphic but I can't think of another way of explaining it. I remember the first time our TAG regurgitated for us she was just as shocked as we were and the look she had on her little face was priceless.
She does the same behavior but the wings down crouch is shown in both males and females so that's not in any way an indication of sex. (Many older texts will tell you that only male birds will mount and masturbate on their toys... boy do they need to come visit my house!!!!)
I've been told and have read that **real** sexual maturity normally hits at around 3-5 for TAGS and 5-6 for CAGS but I don't know for certain how accurate that is. I know that our grey seems to be having stronger hormonal surges the older she gets and she's a bit over 3 now.
