I have just tried a new birdie bread recipe and thought I would share it with you all.
1 cup Ground Harrison pellets
1 cup whole grain cerea1
1 tea. baking soda
2 tea. baking powder
1/4 cup raisons
1/4 cup flax seed flour
1/4 cup barley
1 tea. pumpkin spice
1/4 cup of raw unsalted sunflower seeds

WET ING.
2 bananas
2 eggs with shells
1 tab. honey
2 tab.naural peanut butter
1 cup rice milk

Mix dry ingredients in large bowl. Blend wet ingredients in blender.Add to dry ingredients and mix well. Pour into a greased and floured pan and bake at 325 for 1 hour. Cool and cut into squares and freeze.
In place of bananas you can add backed sweet potatoes, grated carrots or 1 cup of coconut.

I used the bananas and all of my birds loved it. >

Well, that sounds yummy. I might have to try it, maybe with substitutions of a few things. One recipe will last my 2 little guys about a year wink so I may just divide it up and use bananas in part of it, coconut in another, papaya in another, and sweet tater in the rest.
Good thing I don't mind eating bits of stuff containing ground eggshell myself (very much laugh ) When I do, I just don't close my teeth all the way while chewing.
