Is it ok to give Cockatoos oranges, and is it ok if they eat the rine?

It is okay to give cockatoos oranges, but I would not give them the skin because it has pesticides sprayed on it that could be harmful to them. Both my bird LOVE oranges! smile

Oranges and grapefruits! Sometimes my M2 likes to just eat the white part on the inside of the peel. Unless it's fruit from my yard or a known pesticide/herbicide/fungicide free source, I wash all fruits and veggies w/a little bit of dish soap. U use soap because it will break down any waxes sprayed on the fruit, which would hold in the -cides.
