Well just wanted to say hi and to thank everyone for the advice you gave me when I fist obtained Skipper? I'm sorry but I'm not very good at forums I could find the edit button. But wanted to update you; well Skipper and I are still together. He steps up, allows me to caress him for just a short while, climbs down his cage and plays chase the ball with me, he runs around the floor stands by the door and hisses if anybody dares come to visit. I have had this 42 year old gentleman for about 2 years now. He displays night and morning and at times is vocal but last year I came out of retirement and took a part time position as case manager for hospice and I believe it is good for us both that he has to amuse himself for 3-4 hours a day. It is very interesting that although he does not speak he has different vocalizations for his different needs. For example: When he wants his veggies he uses this noise resembling a baby chick, when he wants to go to bed he uses another vocalization. Also a couple of others specific to his needs, anyway although demanding at times it is a joy to see his progress. My best wishes to everyone on this site and we will check in before Skippers 50th birthday. Be well.
