Hi everyone, I’m new here. I don’t have any birds in my life yet, but I am hoping to adopt at some point. I’ve loved cockatoos from afar for as long as I can remember. I saw one recently at a shelter in my state, and I sent off their questionnaire to find out more. It’s probably best that I haven’t heard back yet, because I’m realizing that I need to educate myself much, much more. So I’m here to learn and figure out if I really can provide a good home to someone. I’m SO glad I found you PRE-adoption. You all are raising awareness and helping the existing population in crisis. Thanks for what you guys have been doing all this time.

Welcome to Mytoos and thank you for doing your research. So many people interested in cockatoos look at their beauty and not their needs. It's refreshing to have folks come on here researching first. This tells us that if you decide to adopt a too you will be a wonderful care giver. Welcome to Mytoos.

Thank you for the welcome! And thank you also for answering my questions in other posts. I really appreciate it! I may possibly have another question or two as I continue to go through the site, but I know you all are very busy people, and I won't be posting too much more until I've found a rescue to volunteer with. Thanks again!
