Hello all...new owner..just adopted a16 yo Too from the PEAC group. Am I crazy? How long is the adjustment period? She is a love but wish I understood her better!

I'll let you know about the adjustment period once Cassie adjust. She's been adjusting us now for 12 years! Seriously though you can't predict how long the "Honeymoon" period will last. Some settle in on day one while others can take 6 months or more. Thank you for taking this little one in. Welcome to Mytoos.

I adopted Coco 10 years ago when she was about 3, we were told, the adjustment period is ongoing.

The adjustment period can be long. The most important thing I have learned in almost fifteen years is it has to be on their terms.
