Hi everyone. The week before thanksgiving I lost my U2 from a long illness. She was an amazing girl and I miss her terribly. However I have a friend who discovered that she is terminal and not expected to live 3 more months. She Has a 7 year old very well traveled and adjusted U2 that she is going to give me when she passes. I am excited but also nervous, because despite my having a huge flock, and working at an avian vet, I never have personally owned a male parrot of any kind. All my birds end up female!

That being said, are there things I should or shouldnt do with boy U2's? How are they in general?

I honestly wouldn't worry about the male/female differences. Most people never know what sex their bird is. Go with the flow and see what comes to be.
My sympathies to you on the loss of your little girl.

I agree with the others, I had a female U2 that passed away several years ago, then I adopted Riley,a male U2. Both sweet and loving. I'm so sorry for your loss and for your friends illness, I know it must be comforting to her to know her boy will be with you, sounds like a match made in heaven.
