I've had my U2 since July. He was adopted, and is a plucker, but I still have hope for full regrowth. He's letting some wing and tail feathers finally grow in smile

We took him with us on our camping trip. He seemed to have a great time! It was kinda cold, so we kept him indoors most of the time, but he soon was the master of his domain. I introduced him to his travel cage a month in advance, so he wouldn't be scared. He doesn't fly, but climbs real well, so we keep him out most of the time, unless he can't be supervised. The top bunk in our trailer was his favorite. He had a great time throwing his toys off the top, and making us "fetch".

I'm so glad we took him, instead of finding a babysitter. I had my reservations, but decided to just include him, and make the necessary adjustments.

Looks like he had fun. Is he not able to fly because of a physical problem or have you just not seen him fly? There are many birds who do not fly on a daily basis but are more than able to. We have heard of more than one that all of a sudden with a gust of wind or a hawk flying over head has flown off. We have also heard of birds dying when the brakes had to be jacked up on. Please travel with him secure in a carrier or his travel cage.

He has bitten off all his wing feathers. He only has 1-2 on each wing.

1 or 2 won't get him lift. Wish I could take my girl out but she would be gone in a flash. I have to keep her in a small cage when we go out. She loves being out doors.
