Question. So my too just got her nice big Ole' macaw sized cage up today and all her toys. She is seeming to be VERY active. She's decided to jump on the cage walls, hang from toys and spin, hold into the side and flap her wings (not going anywhere I might add) and basically pretend she's spiderman! Should I be concerned? She uses her wings to help pull herself up on things and balance out. Should thier be any concerns here for her?
Sounds like she's very happy, I wouldn't be worried at all...I'm by no means an expert, but what you're describing seems just like a kid tearing around its new play room & having a ball, Cockatoo style! I am of the opinion that toys are best 'rotated' instead of putting everything out at once. If you put one or two out & change them every couple of days it makes for a more stimulating environment. I've always done this with my dogs & found my 'too also responds positively to the same trick :-)
If you are not part of the solution, you are part of the problem Cheers, Tracy-Ann & Sam
