Since we would love to make a cockatoo Calender with the proceeds going to avian rescue I decided to start a new thread. What a better place than announcements.

If your interested in making submissions or have ideas please post them here for discussion. Links to pictures are welcome and we could maybe vote on pics? What do you think? For the cockatoo Calender it must be cockatoo pics but FeatheredAngels offered to do an all species one as well and we can work on that one also in another topic. We will keep this one for the cockatoos and maybe get going with this one first.

Just as an idea we could post links to pics of our cockatoos and the ones voted for the Calender then we could email them directly to FeatheredAngels? Would that work?

We would love to have some submissions to the Calender! Let have some links volunteered please! We need quite a few more to reach our goal! Let do it!

In addition to the Noelle and Simon pic I also love the pic of Syd. True natures child. Can you wonderful ladies dig up the links for those pics please. I know the pics very well but others may not.

Karen,Nancy,Charlie, and anyone that's offered come on....we want to see Cockatoos lol.

I would also like to know if someone could contact spinnyspoo and see if we can have a pic of Dear Sweet Bill for the calendar. He's a beauty that touched our hearts greatly and think it would be nice to include him!

I have 'Too' many pics of Nadi to keep track of,but here is an album of some of her best, for your consideration.
My personal faves are;

Beauty Bird
Nadi Nadi
The Princess surveys her Realm

BTW,there are 80 some pages of great pics and such in our own photo library to consider. The hard part will be to choose from such an abundance, and who says that there should be only one bird for each month.

......And since Bill came up,maybe there could be a Rainbow Bridge segment.

John and Nadia grin cool

OK-Embarrassingly as long as I have been on here I haven't posted a pic because I am so 'not techy'. How can I do this?

Very simple! Start an account with a photo hosting site. I use Photobucket.com I'm technelogically impaired and have been able to figure it out. Once you open the account you can upload pictures to the site from your computer, phone or facebook. They give you the codes to link to the pictures. Oh and it's free!

Thanks Nancy and I agree with everyone - terrific pics. If we have to do just one with my Lucy, please click on the link and use the 'portrait' one which is #3. I don't know how to pic any one of them cause they are all awesome!!! (Meaning all the pics on here I have seen :))

I have collected all of the photos submitted so far and will continue to do so with any new ones. I will start working on making designs asap. I plan to have the calendar ready for purchase by April and it will be a 18 month calendar so that we can use as many photos as possible and the names of each Angel will also be on the pics smile.

It took me about 2-1/2 evenings to upload this handfull of Chucki pics. I think I finally got the hang of it but wouldn't bet on it! I think we have a few 100 or so pics but some of these are my favorites.

Chucki is a gorgous girl. I love female M2s!! Makes me miss my Sweet Sydnee all the more. The Easter bonnet is adorable. I also like the next one of her in the flowering tree.
She is a special girl!!

Just wanted to let everyone know that I will be starting the work on the Calendar this weekend smile. I am going to make it a 18 month calendar and should have it up for sale no later than April. And of course a percentage of proceeds will be going directly to Mytoos choice smile. If anyone else wants to submit pics, please do so.

I am probably a bit late here, but I will toss in any of my pics I have for use by 'mytoos' . My cell-camera is not the best, but some decent shots here and there. I have all the images without the 'copyright overlay', so lemme know if any are wanted (for any reason by anyone, etc). I just put a copyright-thing on 'em so they don't show up unscrupulously somewhere commercial-like, not even certain if it meets legal minimums, LOL.

Is there going to be a calendar for 2014?

I don't think so, Sharon. This thread is pretty old.

Want a shot of the Palm cockatoo at the zoo?
I bet if you have a printer, you could download pictures and print the pages yourself, and staple them together. Especially if your printer will use photo print paper. It would probably be a good idea to send a check for each one to a cockatoo rescue, and perhaps print the rescues' names & addresses somewhere on the finished product. That part might be something that should be done in January, for 2015, too: arranging a "proceeds from sales go to. . ." Labelling.
