I cant manage to get anything closer with out scaring her to pieces so you can see how bare her chest is getting! Anyways, here is my new baby girl! Isnt she purty!

I realize her cage is somewhat bare...I dont want to scare her by filling that cage up like I normally do, Im taking it a little at a time. Please dont think I dont give my birdies enough toys, usually you cant see the bird thru the STUFF

Oh my gosh, she is soooooo cute!! She's not as bare as I was expecting, YEA. For a phobic gal I think she's got plenty in her cage currently.

She is a beauty eventhough that little bare spot is there.XO

Will she shred things Angel? Can you string up some newspaper in the bars of the cage and see if she'd get more interested in that than her chest.I imagine you have tried it already. She may be nervouse of it for a bit too.

What a beauty.

she has a few nice fluffy feathers doing a great cover up. I think by next week if she doesnt slow down she may be completley bare...her legs are almost totally bare.
Ive done everything Im gonna do to her for a long while...new home, car rides, vet appoinment, hyper toddler, new stuff, new humans. My gosh thats got to be an aweful lot on a nervous little bird huh? Im not even offering my fingers in her cage for a while. Im going to do my best to totally put on my breaks, stop focussing on the fact that she is plucking and pay attention to the other stuff she is trying to tell me.

I'm sure she will appreciate that. This little girl has been through alot, and in a very short period of time. Now is the time to relax, she's settled and vetted. Give her some time to acclimate to the all the new people, sights, smells and noises around her. Empower her with the ability to make choices and encourage her, via positive reinforcement to make good choices. Read the articles of Dr. Friedman's that have been posted and sign up for the LLP course- the waiting list is long so there's plenty of time to save up the $50 fee, which is donated to a non-profit, avian welfare organization of Dr. Friedman's choice for the particular class. 100% of the tuition fees go to the chosen non-profit and you pay the fee DIRECTLY to the organization...there's no question of where your money is going.

Lucy is beautiful!

Im already signed up! Jan 2009! Lots of time to save up is right!
Ill do my best about the letting her make choices. I didnt mean to freek out and panic like I did, but Im done with it! Ive just never witnessed a sweet lil bird do this to them selves, {Ive seen after they did} and it really scared me.
Thank you everyone for ALL of the help! I really do appreciate it very much!

She is adorable! Brewster picks the feathers on his legs pretty often. We have done what we consider "all the right things" & he stll has naked legs. He's still funny & wonderful. Lucy is in the right place!

OMG
I can't wait to read about it!!!
I will have to save up my "non-pet needs" allowance that I get monthly from Hubby to experiment with this if you feel it is legit. He is the love of my life & takes good care of my wishes, however I imagine he will draw the line at this!!!
Way to go Angel & thanks to Nancy(?) for the info.

This is the same lady that Janny used. Ive only requested a reading for Lucy because I feel she NEEDS ONE and Im leaving my desire to have the entire flock done. So for one bird for one hour it is 55.00

Am I aloud to post this lady's name and number here? Janny was very pleased with her reading and I trust Jannys judgement completley!

Hubby said "is she hot?" I said what do you care, he said if there's nothing else around & her hubby works out of town, what do I have to look at?

This is really weird don't you think!

Of course!!! He really doesn't care, he chased me for 4 years & we've been married for 17, (I was HOT once upon a time too) we are now turning 40!! We've got a long list of travel wishes ( you know how it is with birds) but you are now on it since he looked up Globe AZ. It may be awhile, but I've got more time than money!!! Don't move in the next 5 years without warning us!!!

Keep saving for that boat, we're in the land of 10,000 lakes - we can swim like mermaids!!!!

Why own, rent when you want to boat, who boats with birds that can't swim???? Every other house around here has a boat, we bought a hot tub instead (easy to use once birds go to bed & no licensing)

Hubby says yes, within 5 years we will visit. We Still need to see Vegas & Grand Canyon, then why not a side visit to a bird friend.

sleep
