Hello all…

I wanted to post a Tribute to Maria's birds so you could all see whom you are honoring with your donations, cards, letters, emails, phone calls, and well wishes. Maria has received support from all over the world, which is a testament to the unity of the bird community world wide.

It is with Maria's blessings that I post this, but she understandably has not been able to view it herself.

It is in this time that she needs us the most. Things have settled and the reality of what has happened is with her full force. Please continue to hold her close to your heart and in your thoughts and prayers.

Many, many, thanks to all of you. It has truly warmed my heart to see the kind of support Maria has received. She is so grateful and thankful to have you all. It is what has kept her going.

*Anne, we would still like you to help us put something together, when Maria is ready to write a little story about each of the birds she lost.

Kim, beautifully done -it's just heartbreaking to watch though. I know from past experience that it's often a little while after the tragedy, when everyone else has kind of moved on, that the hardest time comes. I continue to think of and pray for Maria. Thank you for putting this together, it's nice to see them -even though it's sad.

Wow. What a wonderful gift Kim. I had to walk away several times from the sadness. Thank you though for posting a beautiful tribute to wonderful, loved and missed beloved members of her family.

I've been wanting/trying to reply to this for hours, but there are no words, only tears. I'm not crying for you Maria, but with you - as many others are.

Kim, what a wonderful memorial to such beautiful little babies. I cried and had to leave the computer for a while before I could respond. It is great to know that there are so many compassionate and caring people on this site to help someone going through such a hard time. You are truly a wonderful person. Sharon

That was beautiful Kim. I couldn't watch the whole thing. I'm at work and bawling. Gotta pull it together. Such a tragedy.

we are all at a loss. i'm sure a lot of emotion went into putting that together and i thank you kim. you are a true friend.

Kim - That was such a beautiful tribute! It was very hard for me to watch through all my tears, but you did such a great job! I know that it will be comforting to Maria when she is able to watch it. Words are inadequate... I continue to keep Maria close in my thoughts and prayers.

Dearest Kim, and Maria, whatever I produce will be as an outsider trying to absorb the heart and soul of those involved, you, Maria, and those beautiful birds. Nothing I can possibly do will ever match the emotion, the beauty, and the heart-touching knowledge of one so close. I am, as you know, quietly on standby. This was beautiful, truly, heart grabbingly beautiful.
