I just sent the link to your buttons over to my husband who is our WebMaster. We rescue dogs, but a lot of folks also have birds and us rescues need to stick together.

Peace,

So I discovered that you can post links and pix on several classified ad boards for FREE!

So in among the pictures of the snuggly baby U2s and second-hand tiels, there is now a Mytoos button and link to mytoos with the following "ad":

Quote:
READ THIS BEFORE YOU BUY A PARROT

Parrots are extremely long lived, loud and destructive creatures. Because they are so sensitive and intellegent, many of the larger parrots will pluck out their feathers and self-mutilate if they don't get enough attention.

Ask yourself these questions BEFORE you bring a parrot into your life.
Do you have 8 hours a day to dote on your parrot?
Are you prepared to give up vacations? A peaceful household?
Are you prepared to get bitten? What happens when your child get bitten?
Do you have $1000+ per year for vet expenses?
Did you know that your pet will probably out-live you?
Do you have care instructions for your parrot written into your will for when you die?
Visit this website for the truth - www.mytoos.com
I encourage people to follow this example. Remember to be civil and truthful. If people read you as a fanatic, you won't make any progress and they'll miss the point. So far I've posted on two classified boards, but I am looking for more to post on!!!

*note: this is a family oriented website I am a part of so I had to give warning about some of the content. Hope no one is offended at all!

I discovered a great way to advertise MYTOOS.COM
I had a picnic at the beach early this evening with my bird and son. Everyone wanted to check out the bird and ask questions. I told an uncountable number of people to check out this site. One woman has been thinking out getting a bird. I told her to check out this site and to consider rescuing a bird like Stosh since she thought he was so wonderful. Since it is so popular to take an evening stroll on the beach in my town, we must have been approached by 100 people or more through the course of the evening.
AND there were other bird lovers there with their birds that hadn't heard of the site as well..... I will continue to spread to word!
