The U2 that I took in last week is doing very well. I have him in my spare bedroom away from my other birds. Alex is talking with my other birds and they are yelling back to Alex. I went in this morning and let him out of the cage. I layed on the bed and in about a 1/2 hour or so Alex came on the bed with me.This bird has a wonderful personality and very trusting of me. It amazes me because Alex has been in three homes and only 6 yrs old. I am awaiting the rest of the test results which should be here by next week. Other than being under weight Alex looks pretty good.I have already called a friend who would love to come and meet Alex so that's great. She has a SC2 that she adopted 3 years ago and that is her only bird. Her SC2 was very cage protective but now is a sweetheart. I am hoping Alex takes to her. I could not wish for a more loving home. I put some of the natural pellets and some fruit pellets in an extra dish and I seen Alex eating some of the fruit pellets. Did eat oranges and grapes along with a piece of banana. I will keep you posted but I am very optomistic that soon Alex may have a wonderful new home as soon as I am sure all is ok medical wise. It makes me almost want to cry to see a bird that is so trusting yet of humans and is in his 4th home now.
