Hi everyone,
I just returned from the Ken Globus workshop in Tallahassee. I had heard so much negative commentary about him that I was unsure what to expect.

There was no 'bronco-busting' or harsh methods used in the workshop. Ken handles birds very well -- most of the birds were more stressed by their owners than by him. He focuses on training the owners to properly handle their birds than on the birds. The owners worked under his direction to learn to avoid giving 'mixed messages', read body language more accurately and be more confident. He doesn't promise miracles. He tells people that this is a start and training must continue at home. It was a positive experience.

AND he strongly believes that cockatoos are not meant to be pets. Big plus as far as I'm concerned!
