TLL -

Sam is gorgeous! So sweet! Congratulations and enjoy your precious one! Wishing you much luck at the vet, but he looks in fine feather and so happy to be with you. Also, are you ever lucky to have such an understanding husband! Hope he and Sam bond well!

Congrats TLL! In my honest opinion, I see recognition in his eyes. I believe he is your Sam, and if he isnt, he sure seems like it! Congrat son the reunion! What a pleasure! I am SO happy for you! The second pic nearly made me cry!

The fourth picture is my favorite. The one where he is looking up....look into those eyes. Can anyone tell me that he doesn't know the history of the entire world...
I think that is one of my personal favorites about the cockatoos. YOu look into those all knowing eyes, and you belong to them.
He is definately a handsome lad.
Happy that you found him an will provide for him all that you are able to in order to make his life as happy and comfortable as you are able.
VBG.....

Sorry guys - But right now Sam is everything and the computer is Nothing!
And I am getting very disappointed -
Sam loves my husband more than me! Imagine I drive a hour to get him, I cook his damn food and birdie bread and I clean his cage and give him fresh water!
My husband just sits on the couch and gets to do all the petting now! I tell you Men and animals in this house is just like Mr Doolittle!!!!
Sam loves me only when my husband is not home! But he is still well loved by us both!

I will post more pictures as soon as I can - Hopefully the fun ones are next!

JANNY- Yes the abnd is going to be removed when we go to the VEt thrusday! I hate them and also think it is to risky to them!

THANK YOU EVERYONE!!

Tammy

Aww, TLL, you have had such a build up emotionally to Sam coming home, the 'Is he?/Isnt he?'' and then he arrives and shows what seems like favour to your hubby! Rotten birdy! wink TYPICAL birdy! Dont be disappointed, be proud that this beautiful, wild creature is so accepting and happy to be with you. I bet he ISNT actually showing favour to hubs, I would lay a penny to a pound that you are so busy cooking, preparing, ensuring etc etc that you are simply viewing more interaction than partaking. An outsider would most likely see no favouritism in Sams reactions to ether of you, WHEN you are away from the cooker wink Relax a bit, and take time out for YOU, because that means you are taking time out for you and Sam.Ive followed your story, its wonderful, allow yourself time to enjoy the outcome, with your Sam.

What a happy ending to a long story (soap opera as some have suggested). <img border="0" alt="[laughing]" title="" src="graemlins/laugh[1].gif" /> I am glad that you were able to negotiate down the price as some of us suggested. Did you decide if this is your "Sam" from 10 years ago or not? Regardless, this union/reunion was meant to be. What a loving guy; he looks as happy to be with you as you are with him. I am sooooo happy for all of you!!!!!! smile

Well my old Sam loved me and did not like hubby...This sam is the opposite, he loves hubby and will only tolerate me!
He cuddles with hubby, tilts his head for scratches, and will even gives kisses...
When I hold him he will tolerate me petting him then try to bite me! I know he is testing me, and I am sure he has been through alot in his life time, so I am just being very patient and giving him space when he wants it...

And another thing my old Sam loved to play with kids, this Sam, not so sure if he enjoys it...
My daughter will NEVER be left alone in a room with him, and I am making sure Sam is locked in his cage whenever my daughter is on the floor playing.
In the beginning after reading some of the posts about toos and children I was not so sure if I agreed with them all, but after having Sam for a couple days, I understand alot more. I will never leave them alone unattended, I believe to avoid a accident you need to take the neccessay steps to prevent the accident!
Thanks going to all the info on Mytoos!
Thank You Jerry!

What a beautiful bird, TLL. He looks at you with such love. It must be the mirror of your soul. I have been away for a few days with my own stuff, but I have followed the thread and rooted you on since you first posted about finding Sam. You have the rest of your life to convince the little rascal to love you best! I think that's what he probably wants anyway. He's got you on a good training schedule it looks like. I wondered what the pliers were for and then I figured you are probably cracking his nuts for him! Are you peeling his grapes yet? You KNOW men will be difficult if allowed!

The Very Best of everything to you, TLL... I'll look forward to more adventures with Sam.
Ralph

The pliers were actually to bend some broken welds that we could not cut off his old cage!
But I would of cracked his nuts also!
