Interesting observation made by my piano tuner -- he said to me, "you wouldn't believe how many musicians have birds in their homes...". So, for my info. - how many of you guys are musicians and/or artists?

My wife plays the piano. Our GSC loves piano music more than anything else. As soon as Peg starts to play, Baby immediately stops what she's doing, sits still and fluffs up her beak feathers. I don't know if musician/artists are great bird people but our birds LOVE music.

Seems to me, decidedly not any kind of artist, that creative people would like a quiet and serene environment. That doesn't happen often in a Too's home. eek

I'm a musician and my U2 Nadia likes to dance to rhythmic tunes.
She accompanies me to my students as well and sits quietly listening to the lessons.
She even sat with me through a wedding while I played a pipe organ, she seemed to really enjoy all the air moving, the low bass, and big sound. smile

I sing Opera and the birds either sing along or give me that look that says,"enough already".

I play the recorder for a hobby. Our U2 seemed curious one day as I played, so I continued to play while she sat beside me and seemed to listen. By the way, my recorder now has a large bite-sized piece missing from the bell on the bottom.

I think I read a couple of years ago that Jimmy Buffet had a U2. I think it was stolen when I read the article. Also, I thought I read that Steven Tyler from Aerosmith was involved in some bird rescue place.
