Hi & Welcome. smile I'm new here also, but this is a very knowledgeable group. I'd love to know the answer to the trembling question, since Hamilton (goffins too) does that sometimes, also. What type of too is Henry?

Hi Everyone:

That trembling you are asking about is a sexual thing. You want to avoid stimulating them by not petting under wings and back. Dr. Mike wrote about this in the Ask the Vet Forum. I don't know how to post the link to it.

Hi 2lover. Welcome here. One of my birds is a goffins. He is my favorite baby. I have had him since he was 14 weeks and he is definitely a mamma's boy!

You are in for such a treat. Goffins are a blast. Make sure you have good running shoes. You will need them. I have a male Goffin named Bongo and he is the light of my life smile

Sounds like your Henry may be a "she". The trembling is a sexual behavior. Here is the link Zazu Sally was trying to post.

Sorry 2lover, I should have paid closer attention to your post. Henry sounds like a real sweetie-pie. Did you ever determine what kind she is? Is she an Umbie like you thought? I have a U2 also. His name is Victor.

2lover - Glad you found out what kind of too she is. I just love the Goffins. They are so comical and I enjoy reading Bev's and Lori's posts when they talk about their bundles of energy. You are in for a lot of fun - and grey hairs. Enjoy!!

Hi,2luvr! so, you have a goffin! thats great! they are wonderful! i have 2, plus others. nobody hears much about my goffins, i guess, cause i am always posting about troubles with my umbrellas.

IMHO'goffin's are much less trouble, when it comes to problems. Sunny, and Uni, love to come out and run around, and act crazy! Uni will climb across the bird room ceiling, on one toe!and Sunny is a lover! on me ALL the time.

i'm not sure why,but i have less trouble with my G2's, commpared to U2's. maybe cause they are so hyper, they burn up all their energy. keep in touch!
