I 100% support not purchasing a parrot from a pet store, I got my BE2 from a rescue.
I would never do business with a pet store that sells Parrots as I do not want them to get any of my money.
I am unsure about using a store that sells parakeets. Can you please explain the forum policy or your own policy on this and please state why?
It's great to be the newest member of this forum. My BE2 should be arriving this week.
I done much research before rescuing DJ and I have been doing much more after adopting her. I am determined to keep the bird for the long hall.

Most of my purchases come from Amazon these days. I used to purchase food and toys at pet stores, mainly because there was no safety nets when ordering online years ago. Can't wait to hear all about DJ when she comes home.

Nancy.......The Aquarium and Bird supplies store that I purchased Zupreem and Abba seeds from closed after 30 years. I did not know that Amazon sold this stuff? Is the price and shipping reasonable? My only other choice is to order from the companies direct that make the products and pay their shipping if I cannot find a store in my area that sells the food I need. How does this work for you?

My husband is addicted to shopping on Amazon and there TV shows(similar to Netflicks) so has paid for Prime. It's awesome! Normally with just about anything you purchase from them food related seems to come directly from the manufacturer. With Prime you don't pay shipping on most items. You have to check to be sure they are "Prime" before ordering. There are enough companies selling on them that you can always find the item of your choosing. Just went and did a quick peek. Zupreem Naturals for 20 lbs is 52.26 with free shipping. Not sure what you are paying now. You really have to know your prices before buying on Amazon.

Thanks Nancy.....will research that. Also looking for supplier in Atlanta area that sells what I need...with a place this large hopefully someone will sell these items. I plan to contact the companies and ask for retailers in my area. I have enough in my freezer now for a number of months.
