Hi everyone! Glad to be back under my own power this time! Peter and I have been 3toos for years and I am glad to see that he got his username back! As you already know, we have adopted 4 more toos from the parrot refuge that was in Coombs. Originally we planned on two, but Peter fell in love with Frankie and couldn't leave his plucked
Buddy behind. Greyhaven then asked us if we would consider rehoming little George and we had to do the right thing. Add in Gigi the M2, and Romeo the challenging U2 and we now have a home full of cages and adventure! Now for the vet visit on Monday to have checkups and blood work done and hopefully they will all be in good health!

I'm pretty sure I had the pleasure of meeting Romeo! I also just rescued a U2 from there!

You guys are awesome, so happy to hear these stories...after all the frustrating cases of people buying from breeders on a selfish whim, one case just this week of someone who has two babies coming next week that she bought "because I was depressed"...so frustrating when people I know who I have to be nice to do this sort of thing, when I just want to slap them (but cant). Good to know people are still doing the right thing & saving birds that may have started out life just like the ones the aforementioned person is about to take in.

Happy stories...wish there were more of them...thank you :-)

If you are not part of the solution, you are part of the problem
Cheers,
Tracy-Ann & Sam

Well that's excellent! Romeo is adjusting well, a real happening concern. He still has some night scares, but we are able to get him settled again. I anticipate it may take some time to get over them, it took our other Moluccan about 6-7 years. But now we know a lot more about how to help them.

Glad to see you on this board. We have been members here since about 2002 and found people here to be extremely helpful. Post up any questions and take advantage of the huge resource of knowledge here. Welcome to the Mytoos flock!

Peter

That's awesome! So glad when I find out that others have stepped up to open their homes and their hearts to more birds! We certainly didn't plan on getting more, but when we found out about it we had to step up.
