Praying.
Think maybe she's jealous of the "dactyl"?

Thank you Jo.
Anything with feet even close to "dactyl" size doesn't exist for her. She has the mind set ignore it and it will go away!!

Hoping everything has... finally... cleared up.
I was in and out of the vet for about 6 weeks not long ago w Scooter, so you have my sympathy and my well wishes.

Getting there very slowly. She is starting to act up again which is a very good sign!

So is Cassie over her fungal/yeast infection yet? I hope she is back to her old self.

When multiple forum members having sick birds is can be tricky to keep track of everyone.

The vet did a second culture and found out that Cassie had psuedomonas and the yeast infection. She just completed another round of an antibiotic and continues on the anti-fungal for another 10 days. She goes back for a recheck in two weeks. At this point we are just praying that there is no long term damage done to her organs. Right now her diet consist of grains, pellets and pasta, no veggies or fruit. Hormone season is beginning to kick in for her so I'm praying that she doesn't start laying on top of this. She's getting Nekton MSA for now to compensate for the lack of veggies/fruits and boost her calcium.

Cassie went in for her yearly well visit last week. I debated not having her blood work done where she had so much done just a couple of months ago. After what she had been through this summer I wanted to be sure she was in good shape so decided to have the panels done. Plus she's getting ready to lay eggs, oh joy. Well I'm glad that I did. Her LDH levels were over 1,000 I believe normal is around 450-500. The vet feels it may be due to all of the swelling she had in her abdomen, possibly causing some liver damage. So she is now on Aloe Detox for the next four months then a repeat of testing.

You two can't catch a break, can you? Luckily the liver is a magnificent organ and can regenerate! The Aloe Detox will help! Hang in there, Nancy!

She's on a roll for sure. The Aloe Detox is not tasty. I'm surprised she's drinking her water with it in it. I put it in both her bowl and bottle to be sure she's getting it.
