First of all, I'm very sorry. We don't know anything about your birds. Hopefully, they were seen by an avian vet regularly and were healthy. Their vet would probably want to do a necropsy to ensure that whatever befell your Umbrella is not a threat to your other bird. I would suggest that immediately, just to be sure. Hopefully, it is just grieving and you will both recover together. There are many members here with stories of loss and I hope they give you input soon. In the meantime, you need to call your vet if you haven't already. I wish you were here under happier conditions but welcome to Mytoos.

Oh, I am very sorry. Please follow Charlie's advice for your remaining bird.

Welcome - I too am very sorry to hear about your bird passing.
You need to take great care of the bird that is left now - that has to be priority.
Please get her checked out by the vet to make sure she is healthy - the very first step.
Then you will need to do everything can to comfort her - and get some liquid and food into her. Perhaps when you take her to the vet he can assess her hydration levels - she may need a drip if she hasnt drank anything.
Try handfeeding her some soft mushy foods - vegetables and soft pellets perhaps and give her lots of LOVE and company, she must be very sad.
Very sorry to hear about your situation, please let us know how it progresses?
Anita

I am so sorry to learn of the passing of your beautiful bird. I hope time and memories of good times will ease your pain.

Please give us an update on your little girl. We all care.

Sharon
