Are till rolls safe?? Like paper rolls that you can buy for your bird. My friend works in an office and can get them, the ones you use for eftpos ad fax machines. The fax ones say thermal paper so that would contain carbon right?? Is that a form of lead like in pencils?? If so they would not be safe right? I'm a little confused. The bird store sells the paper rolls for birds but they are sooooo expensive i tried making my own but what took me about 4days to wrap plain paper around a cardboard tube was destroyed in mins lol I know I have too much time on my hands at the mo. On hol from uni so making toys galore for little miss. grin I have typed in rolls in prev posts but no luck other than toilet rolls

I don't know about the different types of rolls. However, the lead in pencils is not lead, it is graphite and isn't toxic to people, I don't know about birds.

I get the rolls of paper for adding machines for Cassie. I hope they're safe. Cassie loves them.

I don't know about the thermal paper rolls. Something about them the causes me to worry. If you leave the paper in a hot vehicle or near a heat source, it will turn black.

I pickup a carton of adding/ cash registar/ till paper rolls from the warehouse stores. The cores are plastic and are fairly easy to push out. I hang the roll on a chain and let the birds have at it. Be sure to use the plain paper.

Don't use toilet paper rolls or rolls that have paper sticking to them because of the glue.
