Yes, I am in North Texas and too far away to be part of the chain between fosters as they stand right now, but I would also be happy to contribute gas money or air transportation money to make this happen for Tammy!

Tammy, are the dogs well trained? Can you tell me their ages and sex?

I told my sister about them. She lives in PA and just wanted some info on them. You don't know about the Shepherd, right?

Well I certainly see your point its internet and anything goes here so one has to be careful. If I were in a difficult situation and had to re-home any pets well I would really want know who the person is that takes my pets.

Before we can coordinate a transportation relay the bird's destination/s need to be known. I will help if I can.

Finally! I can offer some guidance to someone on this board in order to pay back for all the help I get here!

As a practicing attorney for over 20 years I can tell you there is a proceeding at Equity available to all Joint Tenant or Tenant in Common called an "Action in Partition" in which you get in front of a Judge and he either has to buy you out or agree to sell...under order of the Court. Your domestic status is irrelevant.

If faced with a Court Order maybe he will agree to let you buy him out...obviously, unless you absolutely have to this is not the market in which you want to sell your home. But if you buy him out at current fair market value its a home run! From the posts it appears you are willing to lose the house if you have to so its a win-win situation for you if you file the petition. Do you have an attorney you can talk to in IL?

As for the relay (I hope I have 100 posts) I live in NJ and work in NY and if you decide to move them NorhtEast count me in on the relay! DE to CT or MA would be within reason for me...

Thank You everyone...Bless you all..

I found a friend that will take in my Great Dane, for as long as I need her too. The SHephard will probaly go with him, he is his dog.
I have not found anyone yet to definitely take any of the birds.
I am in Illinois. For now, I say I need to permanently rehome them. The only property I will be able to afford and maintain will be a townhouse, I can in no way take my flock to a townhouse.

CHARLIE -Thank you, your right, I can not rehome my birds to a newbie here, I prefer a long time member to know he/she is a legitimate bird fanatic!

I did speak to a woman that use to foster for a bird club, she has birds of her own and I beleive is considering helping me someway. I am waiting to hear back from her which gives me some hope. But not definite due to the size of my flock.

Also, I have a freind in Orlando, she works for Southwest at the Orlando airport. I asked her to check into shipping the birds Employee discounts and connections would apply)to save money hopefully. If she can help me with this, I would be happy to ship them to a reputable mytoos member.

I can not afford to ship them all, I am trying to gather money at the moment for my Lawyer retainer fee, so anything she can do will be a big help.

Please, everyone, keep my animals, my daughter and I in your prayers..

Not sure if I have over 100 posts, but I've been here for 1 1/2yrs. I am in SE WI and would be very happy to help foster. I have fostered dogs in the past, am a dog groomer, and have 2 G2, 2 tiels, and 2 lovies. My heart hurts for you and the tough choices you are facing.

Wow, 178 posts!

I just want to remind everyone that it is important that all agreements (fostering or adoption) be specific and IN WRITING. Get a contract signed and be sure that it is specific and all inclusive.

Good Advice about a contract...that couldn't be more important.

The only other thing that was asked and not answered yet is....

Are any of the birds bonded to each other. If so they will not be able to be separated as that is very hard on them. VERY hard. So please let us know about this.

It has also been asked about Vet Check and costs. That is something else that needs to be squared away as well.Where ever they end up this is very important as well as finding out if the person taking them has a clear health check for their birds as well because you never know if the place they are going has ill birds or not and I would hate to see one of yours get sick.

Going to chime again. Before any type of extensive traveling, which can be stressful, the birds really need to get a clean bill of health.

Tammy,

I am so sorry that you are in such a mess. I'd hate for you to lose all your animals. If you are close to Missouri I might be able to help with a temporary home. Let me know and we can talk about details.

Where are you at now with the flock??? Are there any that need to be together? Are they all vet checked? Do you have any potential homes close to you that are willing to be temporary and/or permanent. Personalities? Who likes men? Who likes women? Who eats well? Who is able to be handled? ETC...
I could likely only take one more Too at this point. I would only be a foster, even if long term. I have committed long ago to only my four permanently.
We are in maine, an hour north of the NH border...

Well, with a few more details, I may also be able to help.Perhaps with adoption or foster ,perhaps with transport. I live in SE Michigan,( do birds have their own cages?)

My foster macaw is leaving tomorrow, so I will have room available for one or more birds. I didn't offer earlier, as I didn't know how long it would take to find a suitable home for him. (I lucked out, and the first person I interviewed clicked with him immediately and has the resources to take proper care of him.)

South Dakota is a long way from Illinois, but I'd be willing to drive halfway to help save on shipping costs.......
