Can you hear the gears turning? LOL! I've got some ideas, actually, such as saving the sweatshirt sleeves ones for next fall/winter and making a pattern for one using lighter weight material and eliminating the cuff around the neckline. Perhaps something strappy over the shoulders in some lightweight, t-shirt material.

She has done real good today. Do I think she will be out of them permanently, I wish, but no. But we are on 2 days and each day is a step in the right direction. She's been really full of P&V too - LOL! She has also enjoyed my blowing on her body and she lifts her wings up and stretches them out so I get every inch.

Dress free a week today!!!!!!!!!!! Wooohooo - I am SO proud of her. I have designed a nice cool, sundress for her when the time comes. I will post pictures as soon as the finished product is done. I hand sewed one together just to make sure my idea was functional. Now my mom will whip one together on the sewing machine so we'll be ready when the times comes.

Way to go, Noelle!!! I am so excited for her and for you, Janet! I hope this phase in her life lasts a long time, but in any case, you are ready with a fashionable sundress, and she is secure in her loving home no matter what!

Noelle is amazing! I love the video where you sew the dress on her, she looks so calm. The dresses are genius, especially the preening ones.

Janet, I just watched the video of you sewing the dress on Noell. That is so amazing! What a sweet little bird. You can tell she has complete trust in you and is just thriving on all the TLC. You're such a good mom! She is so lucky to have ended up with you.

Well we made it 2 1/2 weeks without a dress. The past few days I noticed her beginning to concentrate on her bare chest. She wasn't mutilating, but I felt that it was time to cover her up again. I made a dress from lightweight t-shirt fabric and attached straps to the front of it, which I criss-crossed in the back and secured with the side ties, then hand-stiched everything securely in place.

Tie-Dye Noelle

LMAO, not it's not lipstick, it's red ink!! Echo stole a pen off my desk and flew to the top of the double cage and before I could snatch it from her she pierced the ink cylinder. I didn't THINK any had gotten out, but shortly thereafter Noelle was strutting around on the tope of the cage, and I noticed her head. On further investigation, I found a drop of ink on one of the cage bars, which she walked in (as evidenced by the bottom of her foot) which she had proceeded to use to scratch her head with. I tried a little Dawn in my fingertips, that lightened it up, but also smeared it a bit - LOL! It's slowly fading - it's been about a month now. I have since learned from Spinnyspoo, that milk gets ink out if used w/in a hour or so.
