Good Luck with the bird. I did ask if they wouild take a bird from Cali, didn't tell them the story. Just asked if they would allow the bird to be shipped in (pamperedparrots) They said yes of course. So if you need someone to send him to....feel free to contact them.
But I wish you all the luck with the bird. And I am glad to hear that it is calming down. Sorry to hear bout your lip. I gave my RB2 a kiss the day I met him(stupid of me) and got a good bite. BUt now he kisses.

I think this poor parrot is starved for attention and scarred about being abandoned by his "former flock". He is probably so scared that he will be abandoned again to wonder where his next meal is coming from or if he will see anybody. I have RB2s also and they really freaked out when we rescued a pionus that was on a telephone wire; they seemed upset about having to share attention with another bird (jealous I guess). We since found a home for the pionus with a vet tech with our avian vet. I hope you can help your U2 or find a loving home for him; he deserves another chance.....

Best of Luck Jaz-

I have seen terrible things with all kinds of animals...I just don't understand why this happens. I have rescued lots of animals...not always been succesful as to my expectations. However, I have always felt that whatever the outcome I took good care of the animals and that the best was done.

Again, our best!

Hi, my name is Linda. I've just joined this group and found your U2 message. Have you had any responses yet in help?

Well...it seems this U2 is here to stay. We are bonding to him and dang-it, just like I knew it he has worked his little too way into our lives. The homes that the rescue groups have come up with seem lacking at best. No previous bird experience at all. I know I am no Einstein when it comes to them, but I cannot feel good placing him in a home with no experience. Vet feels a sanctuary would be a LAST resort forhuim as he is so socialized and well behaved. Did I say well behaved?..LOL. His screams gave really subsided and after he bit me quite badly in the mouth at the vet (got scared)he has been very good with me. He loves hubby and snuggles every chance he gets. he is still in quarantine from Michael RB2. and I think Michael would prefer it to stay that way.
Thanks to everyone for your input and help.

Jaz, that is great news!! I've been following your thread, and I am so happy for you and the U2! It seems like it was fate for your family to be his new family. Bless you for your kindness, compassion and your adoption of this great bird! Please keep us posted on your progress. We can all learn from your adventures!

Congratulations! I've been following this thread also and I had a feeling right from the beginning that this was "your" bird and I'm glad my feeling was right-on. You sound like a wonderful human being and I bet there's a special place in heaven for you and your family. Tango's a lucky boy (bad boy yes, but who isn't attracted to a "bad boy" every now and again? LOL). I love a happy ending!

That is good news. I just saw this thread and was going to advise against Mollywood.

Just read this thread all the way thru and am happy for you. Great that the Too magic worked on you. Sounds like this guy has finally found a good forever home. You tried all the right things but it seems that it was meant to be. Thank goodness your hubby is a softy.
