Still new to Toos as Phoebe is only 7 months old. She'll grab onto my shirt and just hang and dangle down my back....does anyone else's birds do this? I think it's kind of cute, but was wondering if there is a reason for this laugh

My U2 does this also but it's usually because he lost his balance <img border="0" alt="[laughing]" title="" src="graemlins/laugh[1].gif" /> Sometimes he does it just for fun.

lol, Zeeba will do this, too. Usualy when he's in a very active and 'on-the-go' type mood. He'll scramble all over the room, then take a moment to climb up my leg and hang from my shirt.

Zeusie likes to hang from the neck of my t-shirts - like a great big feather corsage. Usually when I'm trying to do something bending over, such as wash dishes or unload the dishwasher. Sometimes I'll just swing him over my shoulder or around to the back as if he were long hair getting in my way. Guess I'm just one more object to climb. laugh

I have long'ish hair, almost to my waist and I usually wear it in a braid or pony tail. Faith, our M2, loves to use my hair as a rapelling rope and climb up and down my shirt. Front or back, makes no difference, depends on where it's laying.

Once she's in this mood it isn't long before she's off and running. Well, she's off and I'm running after her. I don't mind her using it as a rope, she's fairly gentle with it. I do, however, mind the stray hairs she notices out of place and therefore feels obligated to pull to "tidy up" the area.

I think besides chef, cage cleaner, entertainer, and hand servant to our darlings, I'm putting human jungle gym on my resume.

My goffins will hang from anywhere on me, hair, shirt, pants, as long as he can come along for the ride. Talk about velcro bird, I've got a "hang on".

I already posted a reply, but I'm using one of those oncommand keyboards in the hotel room and keep getting rebooted, so forgive me for typing errors or if this is a repeat.

What I've been TRYING to post is...I guess we can be thankful that it's just the shirt she's hanging off of. :-) Gracie has a real penchant for protruding body parts, whether it be ears, nose, whatever. And I DON'T say this with a smile; she's a baby now, but there'll come a day when she may just decide to hang from my lip or some such scary thought. The other day she kept sticking her head down my shirt, determined to demolish that pesky bra strap. The family was cracking up, but I had visions of the future that weren't so pretty.

In spite of it all...irresistible little devils, aren't they?

YUP, I must agree with all the previous posts...TIKI my Ducorps Cockatoo will simply "hang_in there" as I continue to do my daily activities and TIKI chooses to accompany me...thats what Too's do...I assume it must be somewhat fun for them Because I notice that TIKI will climb onto my back or shoulder whatever she can grab while I am cleaning within the aviary...while I am sweeping or hosing the area, TIKI often decides to grab hold of whereever to simply go along for the ride!! *wink!!

My wife's LSC2 Sophie will often do this. She just hangs off the front of her shirt, trying to get into whatever my wife is eating or doing at the time. My LSC2 sometimes will do this, but Sophie gets some great enjoyment out of this and does it a lot.

Sometimes you just end up "wearing" your bird, rather than having them sit with you.

Some days it's chaos around here!
and I would not have it any other way.
