I got a tattoo of my Grey Oliver and I wanted to shaer it with all of you.

God it took 3hrs. of pain. I f my best friend Ben was not there holding my hand. The outlining killed. the shading was not that bad, but omg he had to go over the shading with the coler and I thought I was going to die. It was worth it tho. I LOVE IT.

Congrats!...is it your first tattoo? I have 8 so far, planning on a lot more! My second to last one is a raven on my shoulder...before I had ever heard about my U2, whose name happens to be Raven. Fate?...haha. Congrats again, and just keep in mind, 3 hours of pain for the one and only thing you can take to your grave with ya. Seems worth it to me...enjoy!

Graybird,

Beautiful pic of Oliver.
I have never been one for tattoos... too many visions of being wrinkly & tattoo ending up being a victim of time & gravity ending up in some nether region eek <img border="0" alt="[laughing]" title="" src="graemlins/laugh[1].gif" /> eek <img border="0" alt="[laughing]" title="" src="graemlins/laugh[1].gif" />

But it IS very nice symbol of your love smile

Liisa

Well Aubrey, no-one can dispute how much you love your Oliver! Its a lovely tribute to him, and very nicely done too!

It came out very nice, Aubrey. It definitely shows how much you love Oliver!
Joanne - that sounds like a very nice but also very large tattoo! Ouch! eek
I love Kiwi, but I'm capped out at 7 since I only have them where I can cover them up easily (for work). I don't know how she'd react to a 'too on me! She'd probably get jealous. smile

white will take two weeks be for it will show up well. But white does not sick very well so it is very e-z to damage a new white tattoo and will fade faster too.

Mia & Kiwi ... I dont plan on doing it very big hehe my tattoo guy told me for white they mix white with some blue or something like that and it makes it whiter so it stands out and doesnt fade, ( cant remember exactly how he does it ) but he showed me white on him done this way and its white and has been there for a few years without being touched up. also to keep the colouring you shouldnt tan that fades them fast ... I myself didnt listen to that one I love a good dark tan but I do notice my colouring less vibrant from tanning

That makes sense! I'm sure it will come out very nice. Since you have a tan, the white should stand out more. I'm really white and even if I tried I couldn't tan - I just turn into a lobster! So white on me would just blend in. eek
I don't know how painful the upper back is, I guess it will hurt more as you get closer to the shoulder blades.
