Here are the pictures of Xylon. He seems to be enjoying himself (though you can see how he reacts to a human touching his cage) and I managed to get a few pictures of him actually moving. It takes alot of courage for a bird like him to even blink with a huge predator (human) looking right at him, holding a strange box pointed at him (camera). He's doing just great and getting more active and more vocal daily. He calls with our other cockatoo (still in another room) every morning and it sounds like a chorus of sick geese. album

LTC, you are doing such a wonderful job with Xylon. You can see a large difference between the time he arrived and now. Keep up the good work.

The woods would be very silent if no birds sang except those that sang best.

You are sooooooooooo lucky!
Citron right? I so miss my Buddy. They are such great little birds! I adopted Buddy from our rescue in Wisconsin. He was approximately 15 years young and had lived in a small cage (which he never was let out!) in the home of a chain smoker with M.S. The county took all his birds. (about 20 all varieties) Several died as did Buddy 3 weeks after I had brought him home to his better life of nice cage, siblings, being out and good food. The necropsy said the cause of death was C.O.P.D. a smokers disease. Citrons are such great little birds!!!!!!!!!!!!!! smile
